Rose Blossom Blog Hop - Some Kinda Wonderful

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by!  On today's blog hop, we are featuring the paper pack, Some Kinda Wonderful. It truly is a colorful, happy, playful pack and I can't get enough of this ensemble, especially the turtle!  I think I have made more cards with this little guy than any other stamp.

For this blog, I tried the mirror (or reverse) stamping technique and I was very pleased with how easy it is, and that I can get so much more use out of all my stamps!

There are a lot of different ways this technique can be done, but I will quickly explain how I did mine.  I took the Some Kind of Wonderful turtle and stamped the image on my cardstock.  I then removed my paper and put a plain flat stamp on my stamping tool (MISTI) where the paper originally was.  I stamped the turtle image a couple of times, in the same exact spot, to be sure all the lines were solid.  I took my paper with the stamped turtle, turned it around and placed my paper over (face down) on the stamped image and pressed firmly.  I gently lifted the paper and I now have a mirrored image.  Then I colored and added the heart stamp and other embellishments.

Tools that I used to create this card:
