Sharing the Love...

There are so many reasons why I enjoy being a consultant for CTMH... being part of the Rose Blossoms team has to be at the top!  Some of the most creative, kind, supportive and special ladies are in this group. One of our mini team groups is Sharing the Love. We are teamed up with one other person for the year to create a card or mini page once a month.  It gives us a chance to get to know this person better and to encourage one another.  I created this for my friend.  It is my second go at a pop up box, but I had so much fun making the first (it is actually the one in the Rose Blossom Blog Hop) that I wanted to use this paper and create one just for her.  I think it is important to take time to share some love with people in your life.  You don't have to be part of a team (although you are really missing out on this one, BIG TIME) to do so!  Get creating!  Share your ideas in the comment section!

The tools I used to create this card are listed below.

Rose Blossom's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring pages 6-13 in the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book.  The Hello Lovely paper collection, along with coordinating stamps, ribbon, compliments, has to be one of my favorite to date. It is truly lovely!

For this blog, I chose to create a pop up card box.  I hadn't tried one yet, and it really seems to be the craze these days.  So, to keep up with the trends, I decided to give it a go.  I am thrilled that I did.  What a fun little box full of lovely!

A simple Valentine's card can say so much

For several years now, I have participated in a Valentine's Card Exchange managed by my dear niece and her lovely friends.  I am always excited to be a part of this exchange. This is such a sweet way to share some love and get a chance to meet new people.  I have received cards from some of the loveliest ladies from all over the country (and abroad). Not only have the cards been very creative, but the words that were written have been incredibly encouraging.

This week was an abnormally busy week with workshops, crop and hosting my daughter's play group Valentine's Party. To create these cards, I actually went to my paper stash and chose to keep it very simple. I have been trying to use up paper that I have hoarded over the years.  This might take a while, lol!  The card base is created from CTMH Kraft card stock, the background papers were scraps I had left over from another project I did several years ago, and I cannot remember the brand. The heart stickers are from Recollections. The XOXO die cut is CTMH with a cut out of Pixie card stock paper. I used the CTMH Shimmer Pen and traced over the hearts and xoxo to give it a soft shimmer.  The twine is left over from another project.  I hope the recipients enjoy this card, but also the little treat that is inside!

Valentine cards don't have to be over the top to show how much you care.  Sometimes, when we try too hard or complicate things, we never end up sending something because it isn't "just right." I am extremely guilty of best intentions.  I have a stack of almost done cards that didn't make it out the door because I was trying to be over the top. Keep it simple and send that card!  You never know how much it will mean to the person on the other end!
