Rose Blossom Blog Hop - CTMH Cricut You are Here

Hi Everyone!  Thank you for joining us on this month's blog hop featuring the new AMAZING CTMH You Are Here Cricut cartridge!  I have a lot of friends who are having babies and thought I would create a gender reveal page to capture one of the reveal events. I will be putting pocket pages over the 3 x 3 squares to allow for many more pictures and journaling.

Rose Blossom Blog Hop - Stamps, stamps, and more stamps!

Hi!  Welcome to this month's Rose Blossom Blog Hop featuring some of the MANY beautiful stamps during the CTMH's Stampaganza 2017!  I was so excited about this celebration, because I was able to purchase some retired stamps that were brought back just for this campaign.

So, with that said, my project this hop is a set of 3 x 3 mini cards using Enjoy the Little Things Stampaganza 2017 Stamp set and beautiful Whimsey Cardstock palette.

Whimsey Notecard Set

This project can be given as a gift set or individually.  I choose to leave the set with out sentiments at this time, because I will add them when needed.  But, I included two examples of how the Short and Sweet Sentiments stamp set, would be a perfect match for these cards! Be sure to hop over to Brenda's Blog if you started somewhere other than the beginning!  Her artwork is GORGEOUS!

Rose Blossom Blog Hop - Some Kinda Wonderful

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by!  On today's blog hop, we are featuring the paper pack, Some Kinda Wonderful. It truly is a colorful, happy, playful pack and I can't get enough of this ensemble, especially the turtle!  I think I have made more cards with this little guy than any other stamp.

For this blog, I tried the mirror (or reverse) stamping technique and I was very pleased with how easy it is, and that I can get so much more use out of all my stamps!

image on left is the mirrored image, the image on the right is the regular stamp

There are a lot of different ways this technique can be done, but I will quickly explain how I did mine.  I took the Some Kind of Wonderful turtle and stamped the image on my cardstock.  I then removed my paper and put a plain flat stamp on my stamping tool (MISTI) where the paper originally was.  I stamped the turtle image a couple of times, in the same exact spot, to be sure all the lines were solid.  I took my paper with the stamped turtle, turned it around and placed my paper over (face down) on the stamped image and pressed firmly.  I gently lifted the paper and I now have a mirrored image.  Then I colored and added the heart stamp and other embellishments.

Rose Blossom Blog Hop - Thin Cuts

Welcome to this month's Rose Blossom Blog Hop!  Today we are featuring all of CTMH's amazing thin cut dies!  They are on sale for the whole month of March and you don't want to miss these great deals.

For this hop, I created a penny spinner card.  This was a fun quick card to create that used two different types of thin cuts, the circle and Some Kinda Wonderful Card making stamp and die set.

The hill was created by using the two largest circles.  I cut the largest circle out of striped paper 4" by 5.25" and the second largest circle out of green paper.  I then placed foam on back of striped and green circle.  I centered the green circle in the middle of striped circle, and then I cut and adhered a strip of green paper 2" x 4" to stop the turtle from making a complete circle.  Using the stamp and die cut helped to quickly create the turtle.  I then put a penny under the striped and green papers, a foam dot, then the second penny, then placed another foam dot on top of penny, and then adhered the turtle. This created a fun interactive card.  Hope you enjoyed!

Sharing the Love...

There are so many reasons why I enjoy being a consultant for CTMH... being part of the Rose Blossoms team has to be at the top!  Some of the most creative, kind, supportive and special ladies are in this group. One of our mini team groups is Sharing the Love. We are teamed up with one other person for the year to create a card or mini page once a month.  It gives us a chance to get to know this person better and to encourage one another.  I created this for my friend.  It is my second go at a pop up box, but I had so much fun making the first (it is actually the one in the Rose Blossom Blog Hop) that I wanted to use this paper and create one just for her.  I think it is important to take time to share some love with people in your life.  You don't have to be part of a team (although you are really missing out on this one, BIG TIME) to do so!  Get creating!  Share your ideas in the comment section!

The tools I used to create this card are listed below.
